England's main early autumn commercial variety, chosen for it's intensely sweet flavour. Believed to originate from a Devonshire Quarrenden seedling. Mr.Hale, a market gardener first introduced this variety in Worcester.
Bright red skin with some red stripes and yellow background, firm and juicy with white flesh.
